The high roller events at most WSOP stops will attract the toughest opponents, but Las Vegas specifically may have the most local pros looking to play the biggest of buy-ins. Event #10: $2,200 High Roller No Limit Holdem at the World Series of Poker Circuit was no exception. Some extremely talented players made their way to the Horseshoe Las Vegas to have their wits and wills tested on the felt.
The field saw competitors like WSOP Main Event Champion Ryan Riess, 2023 WSOP Main Event third place finisher Adam Walton, poker vlogger and high-stakes crusher Ethan "Rampage" Yau, Bracelet winner Jesse Lonis, and many more. These players battled through stiff competition, endured the over hour-long bubble, and worked their way to the final table. The final nine included the likes of two-time bracelet winner Shannon Shorr, Wynn Millions Winner Michael Rossitto, and crusher Brock Wilson. Those nine played for the better part of 3 hours till the last card fell. The final pot was pushed Daniel Moran's way after a heads up match with Francis Harvey Alegado. He lifted the ring as the newest WSOP Circuit Champion and pocketed a cool $78,455.

Winners Reaction:
Although this is only a top-five score of Moran's career, this is the very first outright win. Moran speaks to the meaning of winning this ring. "This completely turns around the trip and the year. And honestly, this first bit of hardware, whatever it is, it means a lot, actually really does mean a lot because I've had a lot of seconds and thirds for some on big final tables. Yeah, so to get the win. It's really good."
This final table had some stiff competition and Moran spoke to the level of play and some of the dirty work being done by his heads up opponent, Francis Harvey Alegado. "Yeah. Lots of good regulars. Everyone was pretty tough, actually. Yeah maybe like 25 or 30 big blind average coming into the final table. So their were kind of like three big stacks who are kind of staying away from each other, and then everyone else was pretty short. The guy who I beat heads up, knocked everyone out at the table, pretty much short of the last two people, which is what matters. Right?"
Daniel was exhausted after a heads-up battle that lasted close to three hours but he celebrated with his two friends who stayed on the rail all the way to the finish at 3:30 a.m. Congratulations on the breakthrough win, Daniel!
