TESTIMONIALS
Hi Brandon,
I just want to say what a great job everyone did putting on the Academy last week. I have to tell you that the value of the information I got far exceeded the cost. All of the instructor’s were great too. Shawn’s hand analysis at the live hand demo was uncanny. It’s like he sees through the cards. Phil’s advice got me to a final table at my first tournament after hearing him. My cash game is also much better than it’s ever been. Annie’s passion for teaching is phenomenal and again, a whole lot of great information. I look forward to attending future academies.
Thanks again,
E. Steele
As a past attendee of your competitor’s poker boot camp, I was very curious to experience a WSOP Academy. Let me tell you something, I enjoyed this Academy WAY MORE than their event! The course content was exceptional and the instructors were very succinct in their presentations. The instructors all had proven track records and that gave them a ton of credibility. Not only that, the event organizers were excellent, and really went out of their way to ensure that we had a great experience. I plan on attending future WSOP Academies and I recommend them to anyone looking to improve their poker game.

I just got home from the WSOP Academy in Indiana. I learned more in two days then I have in the forty five years have been playing. I placed second in our weekley tournament. I then went to cash game and won allot of money there. I would like to thank Brandon and Jeff for their school, I'm playing better poker than I ever have. I have a multitude of information that was given to at the camp to study. The instructors, Mark, Paul, Alex and Joe were first class, professional and answered all the questions asked of them. I highly recommend the WSOP camp if you want to get better. These guys are the best. I can't wait for the Las Vegas Academy to take the next step in proving my skills at no limit Texas Holdem. It just doesn't get any better than this. Thank you again

Dear Brandon
I had been tossing around the idea of attending one of the WSOP Academies, for a while and I am still not sure what possessed me to call you a little more than a week before the Ladies, but it was one of the best impulsive decision I have ever made and well worth the time and money spent.
I had no idea what to expect, and had no expectation in placing in the top 5 of the day 1 tournament, but I was sure that I would learn a lot. Learn a lot I did. The Academy, gave me a lot more confidence in making better decisions at the table, to try new moves, and employing concepts and principles foreign to me.
One week after the Academy, I registered for a Tournament at the local casino and I played better than I had in the past. I was very happy with the decisions I made, even though I busted out somewhere in the middle of the event. Not fully defeated, I sat down in a No Limit cash game and was able to make back the entry fee plus! Thanks to you and all of the WSOPA instructors. You all were great!!!

Hello:
I just wanted to drop you guys a line to let you know that I had my first WSOP cash! Not big money but a great accomplishment nonetheless (24th of 328)!
Thanks so much to you, Greg, Alex, and Brad. The Academy training has definitely taken my game to another level. I am consistently doing well. Although the WSOP is the most significant to me, I have won and cashed in several other tourneys that have paid more money since attending the Academy!
I am not able to attend the advanced course coming up; however, I am looking forward to attending the next one.
Thanks again!!

Hi Brandon,
Thought I'd share my results since attending the Academy only four weeks ago:
I've played in 13 local small buy-in tournaments (ranging from $30-50) and cashed in seven of them. My total investment has been $495, but I've won $1,233 (netting $738). AND I won two tournaments in a row!!! This may not sound like much, but prior to attending the Academy, I hadn't cashed since mid-October and had been cashing only modestly roughly every six weeks prior to that. Considering that I play an average of three tournaments a week, I was on the losing path. People at my local poker hall have definitely taken notice of my improvement. I've also had a number of people say that they're afraid of me (at the table, of course) to which I just smile (and take their chips).
Thank you for putting together such a wonderful academy. I had every confidence that attending would be the right move for me, but now I have the proof!

Jeff/Brandon and the entire WSOP Academy Staff:
I wanted to say Thank You! It was a great learning experience and I'm really excited to get to the tables and practice what I learned. I was very impressed with how patient and focused the staff were in communicating their ideas. Besides being some of the best poker minds around, they were also great teachers. Attending the event got me excited about playing poker again and helped me identify some of the mistakes and problems with my game that I can fix and improve on.
Thanks again, you were all great and the weekend was a total blast.

Hi Brandon,
I really enjoyed the WSOP Seminar, learned a great deal...will put me way ahead of the game. It is saving me years of learning the hard way, like most of the Pros had to do, worth every dollar spent.
Thanks again,
Randy H.
Dear Brandon,
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the WSOP Academy. I thought everyone did a fabulous job and I learned a great deal! Played in a tournament in Vegas on Sunday and used what I was taught and came in third! Your camp was extremely worthwhile. Since returning to Indiana, I have played several times and done well thanks to your camp. It was a great experience and I hope to try it again at a later date. Also, I suggested to a friend that he enroll.
Fondly,
Dale F
Hi Brandon,
Thanks to the WSOP Academy, Annie Duke, Joe Navarro and Alex Outhred brought my game to a new level. This year, 41st at the WSOP, next year... who knows?
Good job Post Oak for producing such a quality event!

Hi there. Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you I enjoyed attending the academy you held last week. The class has made me a better player and hope to keep improving. I played in the Women's World Series which had almost 1300 participants and I finished 130th. Almost made it to the money. I should have though if they would have paid 10%! Which I thought was supposed to be paid in most tournaments.
Thank you for all the great advice which I have already applied to my play!!

Brandon -
One last word of thanks for a really fun and informative two days at the Ladies' Academy. You guys did a great job - please convey my appreciation to the instructors as well.
Hey Brandon,
Just a note to let you know that I am so satisfied with my experience at the Ladies’ WSOP Academy! My play has become more coordinated, controlled, and, in the right spots, much more aggressive. The academy gave me the tools I needed to take my play up a notch, and every minute there was jam-packed with information.
The course itself was very well organized, and the lunches were exceeded any seminar food... From someone who has taken many seminars, I have to say that yours was the best I have seen. My best regards to you and all involved.
Congrats to the academy! GO Sally Boyer!
Thanks again!
All the Best.

(Formally Camp Hellmuth)
I should tell you that since attending the camp I won a $10,000
tournament online with 422 people and took 4th at a local casino tournament with 127
people. Just winning these tournaments was well worth the cost of the camp. I just
wanted to make sure and share the good news with ya'll.

I just got back from attending a business conference in Las Vegas. I chose to stay
at Caesars Palace because of the wonderful time that I had there during Camp Hellmuth.
Upon arrival I played in the 7 PM tournament. There were 36 players and placed FIRST
winning $2,981.00. The tournament finished at 1:45 AM and I had to get up at 6:30.
That made for a short night.
The next day I could not resist the temptation of playing again and this time there
were 44 players. I finished second winning $2,361.00. Fortunately the tournament finished
at 12:45 AM so I was able to function on Friday.
My total winnings in two days was $5,342.00!
This came just three weeks from my Camp Hellmuth experience and I am certain that
it was not a coincidence. This was my first tournament win.
Camp Hellmuth gave me what I needed to get to the next level!
Thanks!

I have greatly improved my cash game results due to my experiences at Camp Hellmuth.
Prior to the camp, one of my weaknesses was playing games at higher buyins. I was
in a comfort level of $50 buy-ins. But, when I moved up to $100 or $200, I became
much more passive and unsure of my self. I was bullied by the table.
But, my experiences playing against players like Mark Seif and John Bonetti taught
me confidence. I was able to play with, and stand my ground against some of pokers
best. I was able to take that step out of my comfort level and challenge myself to
play at new limits and against stronger players.
My results have been very promising. Since the Camp, and including the two nights
at the camp, I have not had a loosing session! Granted, I have only played about 10
times in casinos since the event, but I have increased my bankroll by over $2000.
I am now consistently looking for bigger games like the $200 or $300 no limit buy-ins.
I feel confident that I can be a winning player at these levels like I have been at
the lower levels.
Camp Hellmuth helped me challenge myself as a poker player.

Besides winning several times at a local game I play in, I won a 25k
1st place prize online with a sit and go step higher event that I started at 200.00.
I would say the camp paid off and the entry fee was well worth the education I got
on the game. I know that I finished second in the tournament however I was able to
win this event without cards being to good to me. I also just got back to Vegas and
played in the daily tournament at Belagio. I won the 500.00 buy in for 9k and got
to the final table on the 1000.00 buy in over the weekend (Couldn't place in the money
on that one, the card just were not there for me) The feedback I wanted to make sure
that Phil got was that my game improved 100 fold and if anyone wants to know if the
fee is worth the camp please feel free to pass along my message! Thanks again.

In only my second tournament after Camp Hellmuth, I finished 32 out
of 723 at the Trump Taj Mahal, which I attribute to the words of John Bonetti: When
the ante's kick in, you have to start "stealing what isn't yours!" A great
weekend of poker, friendship and parties, I will be back in 2006!

I've already been to one other poker camp held by
an another organization which was very good. However, Camp Hellmuth has taken me to
the next level in my "poker training". It's a great camp for people who
know hold'em and have had some successes but are looking to step up their game. I
have now added several new elements to my game based directly on what I learned at
Camp Hellmuth and I'm happy to say that I have seen immediate improvement in my results
along with more confidence. One of the great things about the Camp was the access
to Phil and the other pros and how nice and helpful they were in answering my questions.
I had many questions written before going, and they all were answered. This information
has really helped me gain a better understanding of what it takes to succeed at poker.
The overall camp was well run, and they didn't cut corners...definitely a first class
time was had by all. My advice is simple, if you feel something's missing in your
game and you're not making it into the money as often in tournaments as you'd like
(whether live or online) or are falling short of your expectations whatever they are,
then sign up immediately for Camp Hellmuth. Get your questions together and have some
goals of what you want to get out of it. That's what I did and I am so glad I went.
I figured it this way, the money for the Camp is a small investment that I am 100%
confident will pay for itself in future tournament winnings, some of which I may not
get if I didn't attend. Besides, it was a total blast and I learned some things from
my fellow attendees as well.

I really enjoyed my experience at Camp Hellmuth.
I think the first thing that hit me about the camp was the enthusiasm
of the participants and of the organizers towards poker. The weekend was not just
a learning experience, but also, a cool way to celebrate poker with others. It made
for a relaxed and fun atmosphere, one where I felt totally comfortable.
I’ll be honest, the thought of having to go to workshops wasn’t
my first choice of activities in Las Vegas, but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised
by the amount of information and wisdom I gained from the speakers. From T.J. Cloutier’s
“21 Top Tips” to Joe Navarro’s expert tutorial on the physical “tells”
people unconsciously give off, to listening to Phil Hellmuth’s anecdotes about
being a pro poker player; I walked away with some valuable tools that I knew would
improve my game.
I truly benefited from the Camp’s simple formula…learn
from the best then apply what you know against them. After the workshops, the campers
played in two different tournaments with the pros playing at various tables. At first,
it was a bit intimidating to play in a tournament because I had never played poker
in a casino before the camp. As I progressed through the tournaments, the lessons
I learned from the workshops echoed in my head and I began to apply them - I was patient,
I used my position, I was selective with my hands and, when I did play, I played the
hands aggressively. And fortunately, I was able to make the final table of both of
the camp’s tournaments. It was an exciting experience to “play like the
pros” and to be successful.
To sum it up, it was an amazing weekend. I gained knowledge, I gained
experience and I gained confidence in myself – all things that I believe will
help me be a better poker player. I would definitely recommend Camp Hellmuth to anyone
who is looking to improve their game. I know it has helped mine.
Since the camp, I have played in two “live” tournaments,
including making another final table. As Phil said during the camp, “Here comes
Gege…”
Noemi “Gege” Agustin
I cant even begin to describe the experiences that
I took away from Camp Hellmuth. Having the opportunity to interact with poker players
from around the globe and to go head to head with the greatest poker professionals
in the world is an experience that I will always treasure. I would recommend Camp
Hellmuth to any poker player who loves the game and wishes to expand their knowledge
base and tests their skills against other serious players.

Hi Jeff, Just want to share my feelings about CampHellmuth.
It's a camp every novice should have the opportunity to experience. It provide a vast
amount of information in a few days, it was conveyed in a manner that a person could
understand and take with them for improvement in their game play.
Not only was it informative but it was filled with laughter, warm feelings, the making
of new friends, the fun of experiencing a tournament and most importantly opportunity
to know the real Phil Hellmuth. Phil is a unique man who shared not only his knowledge
of "the game" but his love for family and his generosity and warmth to people.
As a senior female I felt no barriers.

Dear Camp Hellmuth,
Congratulations on a fantastic inaugural event! I had an amazing time
and as an intermediate level poker player, I improved my game immensely. Your event
was first class all the way and I was very impressed with Phil and the other pros.
They were all personable, willing to answer all my questions, generous with their
time and friendly. The greatest thrill for me was sitting at the table with Phil himself,
what a blast!
I can’t wait for Camp Hellmuth 2! I definitely won’t miss
it!
