The Special Academies are a series of specially tailored events designed to help specific poker players prepare for their game or for specific events. Included in these special academies are the Main Event Primer, Ladies Only Academy and the ESPN + WSOP Academy Poker and Golf School.
ESPN & WSOP POKER AND GOLF ACADEMY
If your idea of a good time is GOLF and POKER, then this is the event for you! Introducing the first ever ESPN Golf School and World Series of Poker Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Take your golf and poker games to the next level with intensive golf instruction and poker training by the two biggest brands in the business, ESPN and the World Series of Poker. Training will be accompanied by two poker tournaments at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino and conclude at the Primm Valley Golf Club with an 18 hole shotgun golf tournament for a chance to win fabulous prizes!
The WSOP Academy puts emphasis on poker education and interaction with the pros and fellow attendees. Participants will learn poker skills, strategies and applications through live hand demonstrations, seminars with Q & A, and tournaments. The ESPN Golf School is a comprehensive, instructional program emphasizing all aspects of the game. Participants will be divided into groups and rotated through three different stations addressing full swing, chipping and pitching, and putting.
