Introduced in January 2010, WSOP Academy “Alumni Only” Academies’ are one day poker workshops available exclusively for WSOP Academy Alumni. These innovative one day intensive workshops allow you to continue and build on the knowledge and skills that you have acquired at the Academy in a hands-on workshop style format.
Hands-On Learning at the Poker Tables
100% of the poker instruction takes place at the poker tables. You’ll learn by doing as an expert poker pro acts as the dealer and critiques your play while giving you constructive and candid feedback and analysis of your play.
Small Groups
For the entire day you’ll be in a small group at a single poker table. The instructor to student ratio at Alumni Only Academies is guaranteed to be 10 to 1 or less!
Personalized Instruction
The intensive day of practical learning will allow you engage in discussions about specific hands and get immediate and ongoing feedback of your play. Because you will be in a small group you will receive advice about your play and you’ll have the opportunity to have your specific questions answered.
Collaborative Learning Experience
You’ll learn more from participating with your fellow players than if you were playing alone. Why? In addition to receiving feedback and analysis of each and every hand you play and you’ll also benefit from hearing the feedback of the other players’ decisions as well as their rationales making certain plays at the table. You’ll learn more about how to study your opponents, their decision making process and how to exploit opponents’ weaknesses.
